Anticipated fundraiser returns with Swing Fling on May 4
One of the Southeast’s most anticipated black-tie galas returns with Swing Fling, the Beastly Feast to benefit Zoo Atlanta, on Saturday, May 4, 2013. The event will be presented by the Ford Motor Company Fund, marking Ford’s 28th year of generous support.
The 2013 event Co-Chairs are Bob Webb and Judy Webb; Bob is Chairman of Troutman Sanders. Members of the Beastly Feast Executive Committee include Zoo Atlanta Board of Directors member Mark Street of Ford Motor Company; Décor Chair Tony Brewer of Tony Brewer & Company; Hospitality Chair Catherine Markwalter; and Raymond King, President and CEO of Zoo Atlanta.
Known for its elegance, atmosphere and spectacular auctions, the Beastly Feast is the most important fundraiser of the year for Zoo Atlanta. Proceeds provide critical operating support for programs that maintain and expand the Zoo’s leadership in conservation, education and superior stewardship of wildlife.
The 2013 theme, Swing Fling, will pay homage to the Zoo’s great ape collections, with décor provided by Tony Brewer & Company. The evening will begin with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a stroll through the Zoo, followed by a seated dinner, dancing, and an outstanding silent auction featuring art, jewelry, home décor, travel, sporting and cultural opportunities, and more.
Zoo Atlanta will close early on Saturday, May 4, in preparation for The Beastly Feast. Gates will close at 2 p.m.; grounds will close at 3 p.m.
