Asian Heritage Day at Zoo Atlanta

The music, dance, art and diversity of a continent come alive on June 21
Zoo Atlanta celebrates the dynamic cultures and rich biodiversity of Asia and the Pacific with special entertainment and family activities at the second-annual Asian Heritage Day on Saturday, June 21.
Highlights will include lion dances and Kung Fu demonstrations by the Chein Hong School of Kung Fu; classical, folk and Bollywood-style performances by intercultural dance group Moksha; traditional Indonesian dances by Sanggar Lestari Indonesia; Chinese brush painting demonstrations by Chinese Art Atlanta instructor Christine Kuo; Bonsai exhibits from the Atlanta Bonsai Society; a kids’ passport activity; and much more.
The event will also celebrate the wildlife of the Asian continent, including Bornean and Sumatran orangutans, giant pandas, Malayan sun bears, Sumatran tigers, raccoon dogs, Asian small-clawed otters, Bali mynahs and wreathed hornbills.
