Atlanta’s favorite fun family Halloween festival returns at Boo at the Zoo presented by Georgia Natural Gas, Saturday and Sunday, October 22, 23, 29 and 30, with seasonal activities for guests of all ages.
Sample treats throughout the Zoo, and enjoy the sights, characters and adventures of whimsical Zoo Boo Town on four magical days. Spooktacular activities include costume contests at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; an inflatable corn maze; Halloween games and crafts; kids’ party dance tunes with Little Beat; and meet-and-greets with costume characters like Wild Thing, Splat the Cat, Ladybug Girl and Zoo mascots Zhu Zhu the giant panda and Cricket the frog. Activities will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Saturday, October 22, guests can leave a note of thanks for companies who have made the choice to use only sustainable palm oil with a Leaves of Gratitude activity. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and learn more about sustainable Halloween candy choices and the impact of unsustainable palm oil harvesting on wild populations of orangutans, tigers, sun bears and many more.
On Saturday, October 29, animals throughout the Zoo get in on the Halloween fun with the Zoo-wide Animal Enrichment Spooktacular. Stay tuned to zooatlanta.org for a list of times and locations.
Activities are free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 3; free with general admission. Visit zooatlanta.org for tickets and event details.
