Zoo Atlanta welcomes educators and their families at Educator Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Educators enjoy FREE admission (educator identification required) and $3 OFF general admission for up to two guests. Pre-register and be entered to win a Teacher Workshop!
Attend a Wildlife Theater presentation at 10:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00 or 3:00 to learn more about Zoo programs. Each includes a private animal encounter and raffle for exciting prizes, such as a Family Membership and admission tickets! Handle some cool biofacts (skulls, bones, etc.) and chat with our talented Education Team to find out about other hands-on tools we use to enhance learning. Round out your day with your own self-guided Zoo field trip and enjoy 10 percent off in our gift shops and food outlets!

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for the educator discount?
Local and out-of-state Pre-K through university level teachers (current and retired), homeschool parents, informal educators, administrative support staff and other education professionals. Each person must present proof of employment at check-in. Offer valid only on March 6, 2010; cannot be combined with any other Zoo discount or offer. Remember, educators always enjoy $10 OFF the purchase of a Zoo Membership!
How do I get my coupon for admission?
All educators are required to register prior to gaining admission to the Zoo. We recommend pre-registration to expedite your entry upon arrival. Same day registrations will take place at the educator check-in area located directly across from the front gate. Pick up your coupon for admission at the check-in area.
What type of educator identification should I present at check-in?
- Employee ID that includes a photo
- Pay stub or name badge imprinted with school name or county AND a state-issued photo ID
- Homeschool declaration of intent AND a state-issued photo ID
I already have plans. Can I come another time?
