Orangutan Caring Week
Every Day at 10:00 AM from November 11th, 2012 until November 17th, 2012
Zoos around the world come together each year to observe Orangutan Caring Week, a week of activities, education and spotlights on the irreplaceable red apes of Asia and the threats to their species and habitats in the wild.
Special activities on Sunday, November 11 and Saturday, November 17:
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Stop by the Orangutan Caring Week table in front of Orangutan Yard 2 to learn about orangutan enrichment, diet and fun facts. Get more information on the palm oil connection, and find out how your arm span compares to an orangutan’s.
- 11 a.m.: Orangutan Keeper Q&A at Orangutan Yard 2
- 2:15 p.m.: Keeper Talk and orangutan feeding at Orangutan Yard 2
