Giant panda cub sightings!
Wednesday, December 4, 2013

The holiday season brings an extra thrill to Atlanta this year – lucky visitors are being treated to an exciting first peek at giant panda twins Mei Lun and Mei Huan! The 4-month-old cubs are making their first forays from dens seen previously only on PandaCam and are now toddling into their first adventures on exhibit.

The cubs made their first appearance in the dayroom in the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Giant Panda Conservation Center on November 27, and have had regular access to the area since that time. This is still an exploratory period for the cubs and their mother, Lun Lun, so there are no guarantees that guests will see Mei Lun and Mei Huan, but a number of visitors have already enjoyed sightings.
