10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There’s one special someone in the solar system who’s near and dear to all 7 billion of us: Earth! We’ve all got to share her – celebrate our gifts of water, land and air with a dynamic day packed with family fun.
  • A super slate of green exhibitors …
Our exhibitor lineup grows every year! Get to know some of our partners committed to green lifestyles and conservation of natural resources.
  • Fun facts for green living …
Are you already reusing, recycling, and reducing your impact on resources? If so, the Zoo thanks you! Check in with the Zoo Atlanta Green Team to find out if there are even more ways you can make a difference, one action at a time.
  • And a special guest! Meet Thomas the Tank Engine™.
    The character will appear for four 40-minute meet-and-greets at 10 a.m.; 11:30 a.m.; 1:30 p.m.; and 3 p.m.
  • Book signing in the Zoo Atlanta Trading Company Gift Shop: Zoo Atlanta is pleased to welcome Diana M. Hawkins, author of “Shadows along the Zambezi,” a romantic suspense novel centered on the story of two elephant conservationists pitted against poachers, ivory traffickers and government officials in crisis-stricken Zimbabwe in 2008. Ms. Hawkins, who is also the author of the children’s book “Lumpy the Elephant,” will be on hand to sign copies of “Shadows along the Zambezi” in the Zoo Atlanta Trading Company Gift Shop.
