Zoo Atlanta would like to give everyone an opportunity to wish Mei Lan (the first giant panda born in Atlanta) a fond farewell before she packs her panda bags and starts on her new adventure in China. Spend the evening learning all about China'a cutest national treasure and the wonderful culture Mei Lan is about to re-join through panda-centric arts and crafts, traditional Chinese activities, and tons of hands-on fun. Wake in the morning and catch a glimpse into the lives of the giant pandas here at Zoo Atlanta. Enjoy a Q&A breakfast with one of our panda keepers, plus a rarely-available private guided tour of the panda building. Meet one of our pandas up-close-and-personal as keepers perform training demos, and you may even get the chance to even feed one of our furry friends! Availability is extremely limited.

Feeding Frenzy!

Enter our wonderful World of Reptiles. Snakes and lizards and frogs, oh my! Everyone is always drawn to the cute and cuddly side of wildlife, but the slimy and the slithery are just as important and just as much fun! Learn all about our scaly reptilian (and smooth amphibian) friends and the important roles they play in our environment. Roam the World of Reptiles at night, create cool crafts, and participate in exciting hands-on activities. Spend some time in the morning with one of our reptile keepers as they feed a wide range of animals in our reptile collection, including Slasher, our Komodo dragon!

Discover the world of the largest living land mammal – the African elephant! Spend the evening learning about these majestic creatures through hands-on activities, arts and crafts projects, observations through night vision scopes and much more. Wake up to enjoy an exclusive tour of the elephant barn and get up-close-and-personal with one of Zoo Atlanta’s very own African elephants! As an exciting added bonus, participants will even get to feed one of our pachyderm pals! Availability is extremely limited.
Program Information
- Program participants must be at least six years of age; children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Cost of Family NightCrawlers: $50 per person for Members, $55 per person for non-Members
- Cost of Deluxe Family NightCrawlers: $75 per person for Members, $80 per person for non-Members
- Time: 6:00 p.m. through 10:30 a.m. the next morning
- All Sleeping facilities are climate-controlled
- Reservations and payment should be made two weeks in advance.
- Family Programs subject to cancellation if less than 12 participants are registered.
