Mommy and Me (ages 2-3 years)
Join us for a program exclusively for 2 to-3-year-olds and their favorite grownups! This exciting, hands-on program allows you both to explore different toddler-friendly concepts about animals through three classroom sessions. Sessions run once a week for three weeks on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday. All topics and activities are designed specifically for the developmental needs of 2 and 3 year olds.
Each session includes:
- a guided walk through part of the Zoo to see animals
- an up-close encounter with an education animal
- play-time at discovery stations featuring crafts, storytime, and other great activities
Panda Playtime
New one-day Mommy and Me!
Before we say goodbye to Mei Lan, join us for this special one-day Mommy and Me devoted to giant pandas. Learn all about China's national treasure and the four giant pandas at Zoo Atlanta.
Cost: $16 for Members for one adult/child pair ($8.00 per person); $36 for non-Members for one adult/child pair ($18.00 per person)
Dates: Saturday, December 5, Wednesday, December 9, Thursday, January 7 and Saturday, January 9

Topics (Each topic is 3 consecutive sessions-no single dates available)
- January: Backyard Georgia – What animals live in your backyard? From mammals to reptiles, encounter animals that call Georgia home.
- February: Babies! Babies! Babies! – Let’s talk cubs, joeys, pups and chicks. Discover some animal babies, and find out how they compare to other animals and to you. (Please note that baby animals can only be observed on exhibit with their families.)
- March: Safari Africa – Elephants, lions, gorillas and more! Go on a wild safari to learn all about the animals that call Africa home.
- April: Colorful Creatures – Animals come in many colors, from bright blue to black and white. Explore different animal colors, and see which animals are your favorite colors.
- May: Animal Parents – Animals are moms and dads, too. Learn all about animal moms and dads, and see how they take care of their babies.
- June: Sensational Senses – Sniff out different animal senses to learn which animals have excellent sight, hearing and smell.
Program Information
- Time: 10:30-11:30am on three consecutive Tues., Wed., Thur. or Sat.
- Cost: $45 for Members for one adult/child pair ($22.50 per person); $105 for Non-Members for one adult/child pair ($52.50 per person)
- An adult must accompany children.
- Payment in full is required at time of reservation; reservations and payment required 1 week in advance of program date.
- Family Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum number of participants is not
