These programs offer a more personal experience for smaller groups and feature engaging content, interactive presentations and challenging activities. To find out if this program is right for you, please review the Program Packet and GPS information prior to registering.
Dates: Mon.-Fri.; Sept.-May
Time/duration: select a start time from 10:30am-3pm; program lasts 45 minutes
Reservations/ payment: must be made 6 weeks in advance
Fee: $13; price includes zoo admission
- Minimum group size for all Zoo School programs is 10.
- One chaperone per 10 students required and admitted for free; additional chaperones pay student price. Membership discounts do not apply to Zoo School programs.
- To reserve Zoo School programs tax-free, a tax-exempt form must be submitted at the time of reservation.
- All programs come with grade-specific activities to use at the Zoo and before and after your visit.

| Panda Parade | PreK-Kindergarten | Have you ever seen a giant panda? It is black... and white... and a BEAR!!! Kids will "bear"ly be able to wait to learn about these amazing animals. |

What baby animal can swim at birth? Which is best at holding onto mom? Students will hear fascinating tales of baby animal all-stars and enjoy making a craft. |
| Fur, Feathers and Scales |
1st grade | In this interactive program, students will explore animal outsides and animal basic needs that are necessary for animals to be strong, healthy, and happy. A craft is included. |

1st-2nd grade |
Oh Baby! Learn from panda mom, Lun Lun, what it takes to raise a baby panda. Amazing photographs, cool biofacts and a craft make this a class you don’t want to miss! |
| Growing up WILD |
2nd grade | Did you know that frogs begin their life in an egg? Students will learn how animals change and grow through animal life cycles. A craft is included. |
| WILD Georgia | 3rd grade | Investigate the animals that call Georgia home. Students discuss what they can do to protect wildlife in Georgia and around the world. |
| Exploring Ecosystems | 4th grade | Pack your bags and grab your passport! Student’s begin their trek in Georgia and travel around the world exploring a variety of ecosystems and the animals that inhabit them. |

Animal Kingdom |
5th grade |
Why do some animals have fur when others are covered in feathers or scales? Who is the elephant's closest relative? How many different animals are there in the world? Students will be able to answer these questions plus many more as they learn how to classify animals. |
| Earth Matters |
6th grade | Through role-play and discussion, students experience the cultural and ecological impact of purchasing a pet that is an endangered species. |
| Forests of Africa and Asia | 7th grade | To build or not to build? Students learn about and debate the effects of human development in natural habitats. They discover that with wise choices humans and animals can successfully share the same planet. |
| If I Ran the Zoo |
8th grade | Explore the history of Zoo Atlanta through photographs and discussion. Students are then introduced to the diversity of jobs, including exhibit designers, keepers, and marketing, that are required to make today's zoo successful. Students decide what they could do differently if they ran the zoo? |

Zoo Match Makers |
9th-12th grade |
Students become immersed in the science of animal match making and the genetics behind how Zoo Atlanta pairs up mates. Learn about the Species Survival Plan and Zoo Atlanta success stories! |
