Membership Internship
Purpose: To assist the Membership department with daily administrative activities within the areas of retention, customer service, and marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Research and resolve member issues
- Research and implementation of membership projects and campaigns
- Assist with the coordination of special events, such as Members Night
- Assist with the coordination of annual membership upgrade campaigns
- Assist with the Matching Gift program
- Input information into the Raisers Edge database
- Some filing and organizational activities involved
Criteria:
- Eager to learn
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good oral and written skills
- Good computer skills
- Familiarity with data bases preferred
- Individual should possess an appreciation of wildlife and be in agreement with the philosophy and mission of Zoo Atlanta
Internship Guidelines:
- Internships are unpaid, last for a minimum of six months, and require a minimum of 12 hours per week. Hours may increase during summer months. Schedules may be flexible based on candidate's availability.
- Candidates must have completed at least two years in a college degree program.
- Two references (school or work-related) must be submitted along with a cover letter, resume and internship application form.
