Membership Internship 

Purpose: To assist the Membership department with daily administrative activities within the areas of retention, customer service, and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and resolve member issues
  • Research and implementation of membership projects and campaigns
  • Assist with the coordination of special events, such as Members Night
  • Assist with the coordination of annual membership upgrade campaigns
  • Assist with the Matching Gift program
  • Input information into the Raisers Edge database
  • Some filing and organizational activities involved

  • Eager to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Familiarity with data bases preferred
  • Individual should possess an appreciation of wildlife and be in agreement with the philosophy and mission of Zoo Atlanta

Internship Guidelines:

  • Internships are unpaid, last for a minimum of six months, and require a minimum of 12 hours per week. Hours may increase during summer months. Schedules may be flexible based on candidate's availability.
  • Candidates must have completed at least two years in a college degree program.
  • Two references (school or work-related) must be submitted along with a cover letter, resume and internship application form.
