Group NightCrawlers

Zoo Atlanta’s award-winning Group NightCrawlers overnight program is perfect for school groups, family reunions, clubs and organizations, birthday parties and more!

Your group adventure includes:

  • Themed activities (see chart below)
     
  • Behind-the-scenes experiences
     
  • Educational encounter with program animal ambassadors
     
  • A sleepover in an indoor climate-controlled room
     
  • Continental breakfast
     
  • Private guided tour of Zoo Atlanta

Teachers - to find out if this program is right for your class, please review the Program Packet and State standards covered for students prior to registering. All programs come with grade-specific activities to use at the Zoo and both before and after your visit.
 

Program Information

Dates: Monday-Saturday, year-round

Times/duration: 6 p.m. - 10:30 a.m. the next day

Reservations/payment: must be made at least five weeks in advance

Fee: $60 per participant; FREE for one chaperone per 10 children; $60 per additional chaperone

  • Minimum group size for NightCrawler programs is 10
  • NightCrawler participants must be at least 6 years old
  • Membership discounts do not apply to Group NightCrawlers

Birthday Parties All ages Happy Birthday to you! Come celebrate your birthday with us and have your party at the Zoo!

Festivities include activities, tours, a lesson on your favorite animal at Zoo Atlanta and a birthday

Reptile and Amphibian Experience All ages Spend the evening learning all about our favorite herpetology friends: frogs, turtles and snakes - oh my!
Animals in Motion 1st-2nd grade Which animals fly? Who starts out as a tadpole? What are the basic needs of all animals? Set "animals in motion" through fun games and activities.
Conservation in Action: Pandas 1st - 5th grade Discover China's national treasure, the giant panda! You and your students will learn all about the panda’s unique habitat, adaptations and favorite foods.
Backyard Georgia 3rd - 4th grade Strap on your hiking boots and join Zoo Atlanta on an adventure through the biomes of Georgia.
Zoo Tech 3rd - 5th grade Use the same technology as real field researchers while searching for an elusive Zoo Atlanta animal!
Global Grasslands 5th - 6th grade Become biome biologists as you explore the grasslands of the world.
Biodiversity Explorers 7th - 12th grade Uncover why biodiversity is so important while exploring the genetics behind how to build a rhinoceros.
Careers and Conservation 10th - 12th grade Explore the career opportunities found within the walls of Zoo Atlanta and other environmental institutions while enjoying behind-the-scenes fun!
Epic Race College - Adult Grab your team for this epic after-hours scavenger hunt.
