Boo at the Zoo

Atlanta’s favorite fun family Halloween festival returns for just four days! Explore magical paths, sample sweet treats*, meet the whimsical characters of Zoo Boo Town, and much more on two enchanted weekends with more than 1,000 animals from around the world. Don’t forget your costume!

Activities will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Costume Contest
Enter the Boo costume contest and receive special prizes if you win! Located at Zoo Boo Town Castle (Ford Pavilion)

Ages 4 and under – 11:30 a.m.
Ages 5 to 9 – 12:30 p.m.
Ages 10 and up – 1:30 p.m.

Cell phone recycling during Boo at the Zoo
Help us raise money for gorilla conservation by bringing your old cell phones to Boo at the Zoo. As a thank-you from the gorillas, you’ll receive an extra special treat! Drop phones off at the designated treat booth near the Willie B. Gorilla Conservation Center. Find out more about our cell phone recycling program and how it helps gorillas >

A Bigger Better Hay Maze!
Find your way through the Zoo Boo Town labyrinth in a new Hay Maze presented by Mitcham Farm. This fun Boo extra is available to all at no extra charge. (Located in the Ford Pavilion.) Download the corn maze map (PDF) which contains a coupon for Mitcham farms!

Our partners at Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes will be on grounds with free Wet Ones® “Twice as Handy Cough and Cold Season” Guides, full of handy tips developed by germ expert Dr. Ben Tanner and Mom Expert and bestselling author Stacy DeBroff.

Atlanta Hawks Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day – Sunday, Oct. 30
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hawks season ticket holders and fans, come on out! Hawks Cheerleaders greet guests in Flamingo Plaza, where fans can join in the Hawks Bounce Pass Net Skills Competition and enter to win a free Harry the Hawk Birthday Party visit. Enjoy meet-and-greet with Assistant Coach Bob Bender from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Harry the Hawk and Skyhawk will be on hand for pictures and autographs from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Stop by Gorilla Habitat 3 at 2 p.m. to watch our gorilla twins enjoying their birthday surprises!
