Boo at the Zoo
Saturdays and Sundays, October 18, 19, 25, and 26
It’s that time of year when Atlanta’s favorite fun family Halloween festival returns! Sample treats from official treat sponsor PNC Bank, and enjoy the sights, characters and adventures of the whimsical Zoo Boo Town on four magical days with more than 1,500 animals from around the world.
Don’t forget your costume!
Watch for these:
- 9:30 a.m. – Bongos
- 9:30 a.m. – Naked mole rats
- 10:15 a.m. – Red panda
- 11:45 a.m. – Bush dogs
- 1:45 p.m. – Giant pandas
- 1:45 p.m. – Kangaroos
- 2 p.m. – Rhinos
- 2 p.m. – Giraffes
- 3:30 p.m. – Kunekune pig
- 3:45 p.m. – Raccoon dogs
Many other species may also have treats in their habitats throughout the day. Keep your eyes peeled, and check your Zoo map for locations.
Guests can enjoy spooktacular activities:
- Enter the costume contest which starts at 11 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- Get crafty with special Halloween games and crafts
- Boogie down to Little Beat, a live party DJ
- Take pictures with characters such as Lily Mouse, Splat the Cat, Stellaluna, Zhu Zhu the giant panda and more!
Cell phone recycling
Support gorilla conservation by recycling your old cell phones during Boo at the Zoo, and the gorillas will thank you with an extra treat! Drop phones off at the designated treat booth near the Willie B. Gorilla Conservation Center. Learn more about how our cell phone recycling program helps gorillas.
