Zoo Atlanta welcomes educators and their families to the biannual Educator Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Educators receive FREE admission (educator identification required) and $2 OFF general admission for each of their guests. Visit the Educator’s Lounge at the Ford Tent from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to enjoy private animal encounters, chat with Education staff and vendors about Zoo programs and education resources, and pick up your coupon for 10% off in our gift shops and food outlets!

Who is eligible for the educator discount?
Local and out-of-state Pre-K through university level teachers (current and retired), homeschool parents, informal educators, administrative support staff, and active Georgia PTA members (one PTA member per family, rest of household receives discounted admission) are eligible for the educator discount. Offer valid only on March 10, 2012; cannot be combined with any other Zoo offer or discount. Remember, educators always enjoy $10 OFF Zoo Membership!

How do I register for Educator Day?
All educators are required to register prior to gaining admission to the Zoo. We recommend pre-registration for yourself and your guests to expedite entry. Same day registrations will take place at the educator check-in area located directly across from the front gate. Educator identification will be verified upon arrival.
 

What type of educator identification should I present at check-in?

  • Employee ID that includes a photo
  • Pay stub or name badge imprinted with school name or county AND a state-issued photo ID
  • Homeschool declaration of intent AND a state-issued photo ID
  • Current Georgia PTA membership card AND a state-issued photo ID
