Zoo Atlanta set to Party for the Planet on April 25

She’s the living embodiment of conservation. She’s the nurturer of animals, plants, seas and skies. Her resources are the source of all life, and there are no alternatives without her. If she sounds important, she is: she’s planet Earth. She deserves a party, and Zoo Atlanta knows how to make it wild.

The Zoo hosts a festive green bash for the poster planet for wildlife preservation and resource conservation at Party for the Planet on Saturday, April 25. Mom and Dad will appreciate the lineup of green exhibitors and education stations; kids will love the rest! Special activities will include an earthworm dig; bird feeder and recycled paper crafts; a kid-friendly dance floor rocking to the tunes of Little Beat Music; keeper talks, wildlife shows and animal encounters; and special appearances by giant panda mascot Zhu Zhu and his costumed friends. The event is free for Zoo Members and children under 3; free with general admission.

Guests are encouraged to bring old or unused cell phones for recycling, with an added incentive: Zoo Atlanta will offer $10 off any Membership purchase or renewal for cell phones recycled during Party for the Planet.

The event is free for Zoo Members and children under 3; free with general admission. Activities run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
