The Wild Planet Café
Located in the Grand Patio, Wild Planet is a heated/air-conditioned café.

Wild Planet's menu features all-natural, free-range, hormone-free chicken tenders and grilled chicken and all-natural, nitrate-free hot dogs. Other items include pizza, burgers and salads.

Flamingo Joe’s
Check out Flamingo Joe’s in Flamingo Plaza for Zoo classics like frozen treats, pretzels, beverages and more.


Willie B's
Choose spicy or regular chicken tenders, pepperoni or cheese pizza and soft drinks. Located near the entrance to The Ford African Rain Forest.

Otterly Cool is now the proud home of Mayfield Ice Cream. Beverages, popcorn and cotton candy also for sale at this location.

The KIDZone Playground will be temporarily closed as of January 3, 2017, through approximately late February, as we begin preparing for the all-new Treetop Trail, opening in spring 2017.During this time, there are still great spaces for kids to play! Please take advantage of our naked mole rat playground, located just next to the naked mole rat habitat. We apologize for any inconvenience. 
The Zoo Train
All aboard! Hop on for a ride on one of Zoo Atlanta’s family favorites – The Zoo Train! A handcrafted replica of an original 1863 locomotive, the train is one of the Zoo’s most popular attractions, carrying up to 100 adults or 140 children. Take a journey through the town of Critter Crossing to experience a day in the life of its inhabitants. The train is equipped with wide, comfortable seats, and covered passenger coaches.

One parent rides free with any child under 42” tall.

Nabisco Endangered Species Carousel
Kids of all ages can take a ride on some of the world's most endangered species at Zoo Atlanta! The Nabisco Endangered Species Carousel takes zoo guests for a whimsical spin upon 38 hand-carved wooden animal figures. The ride also features a series of hand-painted murals depicting endangered mothers and babies in their natural habitats. The carousel is located in the Children's Zoo, and is housed under a colorful pavilion that protects it from the sun and rain.

Rock Wall
Climb to new heights on the rock wall!

Participants must weigh between 40 - 250 pounds.

Canopy Climber
Climb up through a canopy and then enjoy the slide down!
You must be at least 42” tall. Do not participate if you have had back, neck or heart problems, or are pregnant.
