Group Volunteers
Does your group belong in the Zoo?
Zoo Atlanta is fortunate to have an extremely robust Volunteer force, with some of the city’s most devoted and talented individuals serving seven days a week in a diversity of roles. Because so many functions are already performed so effectively by regular Volunteers, the Zoo is typically unable to fulfill requests for one-day/one-time group volunteer projects.
There are some fun and rewarding exceptions! If your group or company is interested in volunteering at the Zoo, we welcome your help at these special events scheduled for 2011:
- Party for the Planet - April 23
- Brew at the Zoo – May 28
- City of Atlanta/Fulton County Family Days – August 20 and 21
- Latino Day – October 2
- Play the Animal Way – October 8
- Boo at the Zoo – October 22-23, 29-30
Group volunteers support events by assisting with directions in the Zoo; facilitating guest registration and manning tables or booths; managing arts and crafts; and much more. Of these six very different community events, one or more is sure to be a perfect fit for your group!
Please email volunteer@zooatlanta.org if your group is interested in volunteering at special events at Zoo Atlanta.
