Brad Lock, DVM
Curator of Herpetology
A veterinarian with particular expertise in reptiles, Brad has served in the zoological field for more than a decade, with previous experience at the Central Florida Zoo, St. Augustine Alligator Farm, White Oak Conservation Center and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. He also serves as coordinator, consultant and primary health assessment facilitator on Project Heloderma, a conservation program for critically endangered Guatemalan beaded lizards. His research interests include normal clinical pathology in reptiles, reproductive hormones in snakes and reptile disease.
Brad has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Florida International University and a Master’s degree in Endocrinology from the University of Florida. He holds a DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
