Megan Wilson, PhD
Assistant Curator of Mammals
Megan’s zoological career began with research on seals in 1996. Since that time, she has worked with a variety of wildlife, including mammals, reptiles, birds, fishes and invertebrates, with a previous position at the Lincoln Park Zoo and research at the Knoxville Zoo. Her research interests are in animal welfare and social behavior, and she currently serves on the AZA Animal Welfare Committee.
Megan has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.; a Master’s in Experimental Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville; and a PhD in Experimental Psychology, concentration in animal behavior, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She serves as an adjunct faculty member of Morehouse College.
