Jodi Carrigan
Assistant Curator of Primates 

Jodi’s more than 14 years at Zoo Atlanta have been spent working with primates, with a specialty in western lowland gorillas. She served as a Lead Keeper of Primates prior to beginning her current position in 2016. Prior to joining Zoo Atlanta, she worked with primates at Zoo Miami and at the Pittsburgh Zoo. 

Jodi was a 2007 nominee for the Lee Houts Excellence in Enrichment Award. She has made presentations on enrichment at The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International’s Karisoke Research Center in Rwanda and at the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project. 

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
