Lori Perkins
Vice President of Collections

In addition to a collective 25 years at Zoo Atlanta, Lori’s career also includes work at the Bronx Zoo and Lincoln Park Zoo. She is Chair of the Orangutan Species Survival Plan (SSP) and is Immediate Past Chair of the AZA Animal Welfare Committee. Her research interests are in primate social behavior, activity patterns and life history.

Lori graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and holds a Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
