Set for Saturday, May 17, the 2008 Beastly Feast, Wild One Night, will celebrate the entirety of the precious wildlife represented in Zoo Atlanta’s collection. Sophisticated elegance, unique locale and spectacular live and silent auctions have made the Zoo’s signature black-tie function one of the year’s most talked-about galas; expectations are that the event will raise over $1 million for the 11th year running.
Ford Motor Company returns as Presenting Sponsor for its 23rd consecutive year. The Beastly Feast Executive Committee is headed by Cecelia and David Ratcliffe, co-chairing the event for their second year. Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at fine Atlanta restaurant kiosks throughout the Zoo. A seated dinner, live music and dancing will follow in the Ford Pavilion, magnificently themed for one night only by the transforming creative talents of Tony Brewer & Company. Other special highlights include live and silent auctions featuring one-of-a-kind treasures and exciting travel and cultural opportunities.
Beastly Feast patrons support mission-critical conservation and education efforts, contributing directly to Zoo Atlanta’s reputation as a national leader in animal care and preservation of endangered species.
